"Zionism is Racism: 50 Years Since UN Resolution 3379" - A Commemorative Panel
In 1975, the United Nations General Assembly passed Resolution 3379, declaring “Zionism is a form of racism and racial discrimination.”
Join Philadelphia Parents for Palestine for a panel discussion with scholar-activists Noura Erakat, Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor and Emmaia Gelman to commemorate the 50-year anniversary of this key moment in the history of the Palestinian movement.
Together we will reflect, reconnect and reenergize as we explore how Zionism has depended on racism, from Palestine to the United States, and what we can do to oppose it.

Community safety & de-escalation
Our gathering is rooted in care, solidarity, and collective liberation. In the event of any disruptions, provocations, or threats to safety:
Please do not engage. We ask all attendees to remain calm, stay with the group, and avoid direct confrontation. We will have designated safety volunteers on site working alongside a professional security team, trained to assess and respond to any issues. Follow their guidance if a situation arises.
Our priority is to protect one another, especially the most vulnerable among us. Together, we keep each other safe. If you feel unsafe at any point, quietly alert a volunteer or move toward a designated safe area.
Tickets
We believe that healing, learning, and connection should be accessible to all — not limited by financial means. We have set a suggested ticket price of $15 but invite you to pay an amount that reflects your access to resources, with honesty and care for both yourself and the wider community. Our collective contributions help cover event costs and support others in attending. All funds that exceed the event’s production costs will be donated to causes working for Palestinian liberation: Palestinian Youth Movement, Bayader Youth Team and CAIR Philadelphia.
